Fall Session details are currently being released below. Please check back if you don’t see your grade listed. An email will go out once all registrations are available.
2nd/3rd Grade Girls
Overview: One clinic style session per week on Sundays focusing on fundamentals and game play. We recognize the fall is busy with other sports so this provides the girls an opportunity to stay in touch with the game by building on their skills throughout the fall.
Dates: 9/13 - 10/25
Practice: Sundays 3:30-5:00pm at Olympus Junior High.
Games: N/A
Head Coach: Bryan Powell (GBHS Varsity Coach) & Phillip Thomas (Butte College Women’s Basketball Coach)
Cost: $95 - The cost includes practice and a practice jersey for those that need one.
4th Grade Girls

5th Grade Girls
Overview: This fall session will offer 2 practices per week and games on approximately 4 weekends. We will hold evaluations during the first week. Please note that the top 10 girls in current skill level will be invited to play in the weekend games. Depending on the number of girls that try out, it may be necessary to form a second team. Depending on skill level, this second team may focus on development and small sided games rather than competitive weekend games.
Dates: 8/24 - 10/30
Practice: Tuesdays 6:00-7:30pm and Thursdays 4:00-5:30pm at Excelsior School.
Games: On approximately 4 weekends that have yet to be determined.
Head Coach: Jamie Holmes
Cost: $250. The cost includes practice and a practice jersey for those that need one. Game uniforms are $100 for those that don’t have one (They are the same as prior sessions). Tournaments will cost $25 each and will be paid the week of the tournament.
6th Grade Girls
Overview: This fall session will offer 2 practices per week and games on approximately 4 weekends. Please note that the top 10 girls in current skill level will be invited to play in the weekend games. Depending on the number of girls that try out, it may be necessary to have one practice for all girls and one practice with the competitive team. These details will be announced as we get closer to the season.
Dates: 8/25 - 10/30
Practice: Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30-7:00 at Cavitt Junior High.
Games: Approximately 4-5 weekends
Head Coach: Frances Patmon (GBHS JV Coach)
Cost: $250 - The cost includes practice and a practice jersey for those that need one. Game uniforms are $100 for those that don’t have one (They are the same as prior sessions). Tournaments will cost $25 each and will be paid the week of the tournament.
7/8th Grade Girls
Overview: This fall session will be focused on continuing development and preparing for junior high basketball tryouts. The top 10 girls based on current skill level will be invited to play in weekend games.
Dates: 8/25 - 10/30
Practice: Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:00-8:30pm at Cavitt Junior High.
Games: Approximately 4-5 weekends
Head Coach: Paul Prentice (GBHS Frosh/Soph Coach)
Cost: $250 - The cost includes practice and a practice jersey for those that need one. Game uniforms are $100 for those that don’t have one (They are the same as prior sessions). Tournaments will cost $25 each and will be paid the week of the tournament.
